Our friends in the local Illinois alumni group are again offering discounted tickets to our group. For those of you who are Blackhawk or Avalanche fans this is a good deal.
The tickets will again be at 30% discount to face value, (Regular $59, us $40). It is a block of tickets in the upper center sections. A block has been secured for the following Blackhawks vs Avalanche games played in Denver this season: Nov 26, 2014 Dec 27, 2014 There will be an hour of ice time reserved after the NOV. 26th game, for taking pictures and to walk the ice. This is only available to those seated in our group. So please make sure that you retain your ticket stub for after the game. Dec 27 ice time may happen, but it is not reserved at this time. Pregame parties are anticipated to be at Blue Sky Grill at the base of Pepsi Center, starting 90 minutes before game time. Tickets to the annual SEC Picnic are now on sale! Clear your calendar for Saturday, August 23rd, because it’s time again to say the ultimate goodbye to summer and hello to football season, SEC style! Last year was the biggest SEC Picnic ever, with more than 900 SEC fans (and 50 Mizzou fans!) in attendance. As reigning SEC champs, we will be providing a pinata of the Auburn Tigers mascot as they are the champions. Let’s get out there and show our MIZZOU Tiger pride!
Where:Mamie D. Eisenhower Park, located at the intersection of Colorado Blvd. and Dartmouth Ave. (The same park as last year.)When:The fun will start at
noon on Saturday, August 23rd. Food service will be from
12:30PM-2:30PM.The Food:This year our caterer will be Jim N’ Nick’s BBQ. Your ticket gets you pork and chicken BBQ, three sides, bread dessert, and tea or water. If you’re of legal drinking age, you also get all the complimentary beer you like. Kids ages 10 and under are free, but we have to have an accurate head count for them.
How to buy your tickets:
In order to partake in the BBQ and complimentary beer, there is a small cost involved. This year, it’s $20 per adult for MAA members and $25 per adult for non-Members (yet another great excuse to get signed up!!). Kids ages 10 and under are free, though we need to have an accurate count. (Your $20 / $25 gets your BBQ plate and unlimited beer, but also helps pay for our park permits, rental of “facilities”, and a small amount to the Rocky Mountain Tigers to help out with materials and events for the year.) As an added bonus, you will receive 2 free Rocky Mountain Tigers branded cups.
