Rocky Mountain Tigers Announce Scholarship Endowment Fund

On Saturday, February 7, 2015, the Rocky Mountain Tigers announced an endowment to fund scholarships for Colorado students going to Mizzou. Thanks to RMT Board members who’ve already seeded it with $17,500! There was a silent auction and raffle at the Founders Day event.  All proceeds from both the auction and raffle will go toward scholarships.

Here is a photo from the Founders’ Day event where we raised nearly $1,000 for our new endowment, which will fund scholarships for Colorado students attending Mizzou.

Help support the Coaches vs Cancer White Out Cancer Game

The Coaches vs Cancer White Out Cancer Game is quickly approaching on January 24th, 2015 as the Tigers take on the Razorbacks and we could use your help!  There are two fundraisers that are tied to this game that you as Tigers can help other Tigers in their fight against cancer. First, there are special limited edition “White Out Game” T-shirts that would be fun for everyone to wear the day of the game to show their Tiger spirit! See attached order form for anyone that would like to make a $15 donation to the event. For each $15 donation, one of the special event t-shirts will be mailed directly to you!

Also, new this year, Coach Anderson is allowing Tiger fans to place bids via this website, http://main.acsevents/tigerswhiteoutcancer to win the rights to have your name or the name of a loved one placed on the back of a warm up jersey to be worn by one of the players while they warm up for the game! Following the game, the jerseys will be signed by Coach Anderson and returned to the winning bidder! It’s a great event for an even greater cause, as all proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Bidding for the jersey’s closes on January 9th at noon but you are still able to order t-shirts all the way up until game day. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jessica Ellison with the American Cancer Society – jessica.ellison@cancer.org

Missouri vs Illinois Braggin Rights Basketball Watch Party

Football season is winding down and now it’s time to shift our support to our new coach and the Mizzou basketball team. This will be the first joint watch party for the Braggin’ Rights Game with the Illini Alumni Chapter. Mizzou will host it this year, and Illinois will host it next year. Since we are hosting this year, let’s be sure to have a good showing. Wear your black and gold and come out to support your Tigers!

For more than three decades, the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Missouri Tigers face each other in what has become an incredible college basketball rivalry, as it grows in intensity every single year as these two teams get more and more familiar with one another. Bringing together two passionate fan bases to watch two very talented teams that tend to be loaded with playmakers, the Bud Light Braggin’ Rights basketball matchup is the type of the game that comes with plenty of excitement from the court to the stands.
